PIERRE, S.D.(HubCityRadio.com) – The state reported 6 new COVID-related death, while active cases & hospitalizations decreased, according to figures released by the South Dakota Department of Health. The death total currently at 3,124. The state had 511 new cases and 553 recoveries, decreasing active infections to 211. Those hospitalized in connection with the virus is 54.

So far, South Dakota has had 272,367 cases and 269,032 recoveries.

Locally, Brown County had 20 new cases. Overall, the county has had 11,797 cases. There’s currently 132 Covid-related deaths.

Statewide, Minnehaha County has had 63,975 cases, followed by Pennington County with 38,028 and Lincoln County with 17,178, Other counties totals include Codington with 10,308, Brookings with 9,231, Meade with 8,215, Lawrence with 7,650, and Davison with 6,918.
