PIERRE, S.D.(HubCityRadio.com) – The state reported 6 new COVID-related deaths, while active cases & hospitalizations increased, according to figures released by the South Dakota Department of Health. The death total currently at 3,065. The state had 832 new cases and 755 recoveries, increasing active infections to 604. Those hospitalized in connection with the virus is 81.

So far, South Dakota has had 265,019 cases and 261,350 recoveries.

Locally, Brown County had 39 new cases. Overall, the county has had 11,456 cases. There’s currently 126 Covid-related deaths.

Statewide, Minnehaha County has had 62,244 cases, followed by Pennington County with 37,284 and Lincoln County with 16,760, Other counties totals include Codington with 9,788, Brookings with 9,009, Meade with 8,063, Lawrence with 7,496, and Davison with 6,579.
