SD Dept of Health reports 6 new COVID-19 related deaths

PIERRE, S.D.(HubCityRadio.com) – The state reported 6 new COVID-related deaths, while active cases decreased & hospitalizations increased, according to figures released by the South Dakota Department of Health. The death total currently at 3,181. The state had 839 new cases and 929 recoveries, decreasing active infections to 617. Those hospitalized in connection with the virus is 78.

So far, South Dakota has had 278,489 cases and 274,691 recoveries.

Locally, Brown County had 35 new cases. Overall, the county has had 12,142 cases. There’s currently 135 Covid-related deaths.

Statewide, Minnehaha County has had 65,081 cases, followed by Pennington County with 38,832 and Lincoln County with 17,448, Other counties totals include Codington with 10,604, Brookings with 9,495, Meade with 8,371, Lawrence with 7,768, and Davison with 7,063.
