PIERRE, S.D.(HubCityRadio.com) – The state reported 7 new COVID-related deaths, while active cases & hospitalizations decreased, according to figures released by the South Dakota Department of Health. The death total currently at 3,221. The state had 342 new cases and 390 recoveries, decreasing active infections to 243. Those hospitalized in connection with the virus is 29.
So far, South Dakota has had 282,137 cases and 278,673 recoveries.
Locally, Brown County had 7 new cases. Overall, the county has had 12,293 cases. There’s currently 137 Covid-related deaths.
Statewide, Minnehaha County has had 65,755 cases, followed by Pennington County with 39,337 and Lincoln County with 17,640, Other counties totals include Codington with 10,784, Brookings with 9,582, Meade with 8,468, Lawrence with 7,835, and Davison with 7,167.
