SD Dept of Health reports no new COVID-19 related deaths(1st time since June 8th)

PIERRE, S.D.(HubCityRadio.com) – The state reported no new COVID-related deaths, while active cases & hospitalizations decreased, according to figures released by the South Dakota Department of Health. The death total currently at 3,214. The state had 352 new cases and 390 recoveries, decreasing active infections to 289. Those hospitalized in connection with the virus is 33.

So far, South Dakota has had 281,795 cases and 278,292 recoveries.

Locally, Brown County had 5 new cases. Overall, the county has had 12,279 cases. There’s currently 137 Covid-related deaths.

Statewide, Minnehaha County has had 65,706 cases, followed by Pennington County with 39,295 and Lincoln County with 17,625, Other counties totals include Codington with 10,773, Brookings with 9,563, Meade with 8,449, Lawrence with 7,829, and Davison with 7,160.
