SD DOT talks about what they’re doing with the federal funds

PIERRE, S.D.(WNAX)- Between ARPA, infrastructure and regular federal funding, the South Dakota Department of Transportation should be in the money for at least the next four years.

Secretary Joel Jundt says they are able to plug the dollars into projects now.

Jundt says inflation will cut into that increase in funding.

Jundt says they are working with contractors and suppliers to finalize costs.

Two new bridges over the Missouri River at Pierre and near Platte will be the biggest projects over the next five years.
