PIERRE, S.D.(KCCR)- The South Dakota Game, Fish and Parks Commission was updated Friday on recovery from severe weather that impacted the Oahe Downstream Recreation area last month. Parks and Recreation Director Scott Simpson says a lot of people have had to deal with wind damage this year.
Simpson says all of the agency worked together to clear storm damage.
Simpson says most of the damage involved trees.
Winds gusting to 60 to 70 miles an hour caused the damage to Oahe Downstream which forced a two day closure to facilitate tree damage removal.
