PIERRE, S.D.(KCCR)- The South Dakota Game, Fish and Parks Commission has approved a proposal to resume service at the Spring Creek resort north of Pierre. G-F-and-P Business Administrator Shawn Blanchette says a group from Highmore was the only bid they received.
Blanchette says the Rezacs have agreed to the original four-percent franchise fee and all required services and minimum operating seasons, but asked for some modifications.
G-F-and-P officials also authorized the sale of off-sale malt beverages at the convenience store. The Rezac’s aslo asked officials to operate Spring Creek year-round.
The agreement is effective from October 1st of this year through November 30th of 2030. No estimated start-up date was given.
