PIERRE, S.D.(WNAX)- Reservations at South Dakota parks are running behind expectations, but officials hope to catch up as the weather warms.
Jeff Van Meeteren, Director of the Division of Parks and Recreation for the Department of Game, Fish and Parks told the GF&P Commission last week that activity in the parks is picking up.
Van Meeteren talked about the facilities in state parks.
Van Meeteren says they expect reservations to pick up.
Van Meeteren told the commission they were about eight percent behind their revenue budget for the year.
