PIERRE, S.D.(WNAX)- South Dakota Senators this week passed a bill that would legalize recreational marijuana and sent it on to the House.

Assistant Minority Leader, Representative Oren Lesmeister of Parade, says the path could be difficult in the House.

Lesmeister says members have to put aside their personal feelings about marijuana.

The bill has been sent to the House State Affairs Committee.
