YANKTON, S.D.(WNAX)- On Thursday, Democratic candidate for South Dakota’s lone seat in the House of Representatives Sheryl Johnson talked about her campaign and the issues she is fielding questions on as she travels the state.
In a recent news release she expressed her firm opposition to RL21. One of seven issues we will be voting on in the November general election ballot and also one the candidate is very much opposed to.
Johnson says that she is a staunch advocate for landowner rights and vows to stand against RL21 as well as any legislation that puts South Dakotans’ land and livelihoods at risk. She adds that it makes for a great conversation starter as she visits with voters statewide.
Johnson points out that her position on RL21 aligns with her broader platform to ensure that South Dakota’s lands, resources, and taxpayer dollars are used for the benefit of the people of South Dakota, not powerful corporations.
