PIERRE, S.D.(WNAX)- The Government Operations and Audit Committee of the South Dakota legislature will be able to continue asking questions about the state’s appraisal certification program.
GOAC Chairman, Senator Kyle Schoenfish of Scotland was in front of the legislatures Executive Board, explaining his committees actions.
Schoenfish says they will drop the subpoena for Labor Department Secretary Marcia Hultman but want to continue with the subpoena for Sherry Bren, the former head of the appraisal program.
The Executive Board approved the subpoena but Senator Lee Schoenbeck of Watertown said there are limits on the line of questioning.
Much of the GOAC inquiry circled Governor Kristi Noem’s involvement in her daughters certification as an appraiser.
