SD legislators still figuring out what to do with the COVID-19 funding

YANKTON, S.D.(WNAX)- South Dakota legislators are still considering what to do with almost one billion dollars in federal funding.

Senator Jean Hunhoff of Yankton, Co-Chair of the Joint Committee on Appropriations, says they are still listening.

Hunhoff says they are finding even with all the extra federal funding, some programs are running out of money.

Hunhoff says they also need to hear from Governor Kristi Noem.

The Appropriations Committee is on their west river tour of state facilities this week.
