PIERRE, S.D.(WNAX)- South Dakota legislators are still dealing with marijuana related bills as they head to next weeks adjournment of the main run of the session.
Representative Ryan Cwach of Yankton says there is no reason they can’t set the rules for medical marijuana by July first.
A bill is in play that would delay the implementation of medical marijuana until January first.
Cwach says they have the resources to push the rules out sooner than that.
Cwach says he would support rules for recreational marijuana too.
Both medical and recreational marijuana ballot issues were approved by voters last November.
