PIERRE, S.D.(WNAX)- The 2022 session of the South Dakota legislature begins next month & promises to be action packed.

Dave Owen, President of the South Dakota Chamber of Commerce & Industry, says there are a lot of key issues.

Owen says marijuana, sales taxes and pay raises will also get extensive debate.

Owen says the Governor has focused on workforce housing as many people working for moderate wages are shut out of the home buying market.

Owen is making his pre-legislative tour of local Chambers of Commerce.
