SD Legislature wants more information about the meeting between Governor Noem, her daughter, & a state employee

PIERRE, S.D.(WNAX)- South Dakota legislators say they want more details from Governor Kristi Noem’s administration about a meeting last year that included the Governor, her daughter and a state employee overseeing an agency that had moved to deny the daughters application to become a certified real estate appraiser. That employee was later forced to retire.

South Dakota State Employees Organization Executive Director Eric Olilla says politics trickle down to state workers.

Olilla says long term state employees just want to do their jobs.

Olilla says politics can force tough choices on state employees.

Olilla says he is still getting calls from state employees about work conditions and worried about their jobs.
