FORT PIERRE, S.D.(DakotaNewsNow)- Preliminary matters were among the initial discussions during the evidentiary hearing for the Navigator co2 pipeline. PUC Commissioner Chris Nelson commented on the request for Minnehaha and Moody County’s motions for “intervention for a limited purpose.”
According to Joe Kippley with the Minnehaha county commission, the request is to gain status in the hearing to enable the county to respond to any challenges of their ordinance. The PUC will decide by Thursday if there is time to include the counties’ responses within the hearing dates already booked or if additional dates need to be booked.
PUC Commissioner Nelson says he hopes the PUC will issue their decision on the Navigator CO2 Pipeline the first week of September.
