ROSLYN, S.D.(WNAX)- The South Dakota Public Utilities Commission has decided to renew the grain buyers license for the Roslyn Elevator in the northeast part of the state. The Commission had suspended the license in February when they ran into financial problems.
PUC Grain Warehouse Administrator Cody Chambliss, who has been working with the owners, says they need to find different financing.
Commission Chairman Chris Nelson says it appears there is a good plan in place.
Commissioner Gary Hanson says they are seeing similar situations.
The plan allows the elevator to work with a new bank and pay off grain producers over three years. The Commission voted three to zero to approve the license renewal.
