PIERRE, S.D.(WNAX)- The South Dakota state Railroad Board heard maintenance plans from state railroads at their meeting last week.
Heath Haden, vice president of operations for Dakota Southern, who operates the Napa – Platte line, says they have plans to attack weeds along the line.
Haden says they will concentrate from Napa, in western Yankton County to their rail car storage site.
Haden says they will also work on weeds from Tabor west.
Haden says they plan to replace up to one hundred ties at a cost of about eighty dollars each.
