SD regulators reject April hearing on SCS pipeline

PIERRE, S.D.(KCCR)- The South Dakota Public Utilities Commission is trying to establish a hearing schedule for the Summit Carbon Solutions liquid carbon dioxide project.  Kristen Edwards with the Commission says they were looking at a spring hearing.

The other docket referenced is the Navigator Heartland Greenway CO2 pipeline.  Brian Jorde is representing dozens if not hundreds in opposition to Summit’s plan and says that timeline doesn’t work.

Commission Chairman Chris Nelson says he’s sensitive to the Jorde’s concerns.

P-U-C staff was asked to come up with a new schedule focused on dates in September and will take up any new proposed procedural scheduled at it’s next regular meeting.
