SD Representative & candidate for the US House seat Taffy Howard introduces herself

WATERTOWN, S.D.(KXLG)- KXLG radio spoke with Taffy Howard, currently she is a member of the South Dakota House of Representatives, representing district 33. Her term ends January 10th, 2022. She is also the Vice Chair of Appropriations.

Taffy is has announced she is running for election to the U.S. House to represent South Dakota’s At-Large Congressional District. The Republican primary is scheduled for June 7th, 2022. Dusty Johnson is currently in this position and has yet to announce if he is running for re-election.

Taffy talks about some of her background.

Part of Taffy’s campaign slogan is “Fix Elections. Fix Immigration. Fix the Debt”.

When asked about the recent infrastructure bill Taffy is was quote “a lousy bill”.

Taffy is also a Veteran of the US Air Force and credits her mom for inspiration.

President Biden’s vaccination mandates were discussed.

The other part of Taffy’s campaign slogan is “Drain the Swamp”.
