PIERRE, S.D.(WNAX)- Most of the rules needed to start the medical cannabis program in South Dakota have been approved by the Rules Review Committee of the legislature. A few were sent back to the Department of Health for revisions.
Committee member, Representative Ryan Cwach of Yankton, says the Department will have an extensive tracking program.
Cwach says some of the rules overlap.
Cwach says the committee didn’t have the authority to rewrite any of the rules.
The Department has said they will be ready to allow the use of medical cannabis by early November.
