PIERRE, S.D.(WNAX)- While a bill eliminating designated democratic representation on the South Dakota Board of Regents was killed in committee, Senate Minority Leader Troy Heinert of Mission, says its part of a troubling trend.
Heinert says republicans don’t represent a majority of registered voters in the state.
Heinert says state government works better with more balance.
Democrats hold 3 out of 35 Senate seats, and 8 out of 70 House seats.
