SIOUX FALLS, S.D.(KELO)- South Dakota Senate Majority leader Casey Crabtree is calling for support for another ethanol-related project.

GEVO is a biofuels company that wants to build a one-billion dollar project near Lake Preston.

GEVO is targeting a specialty market in the fuel industry.

It would produce about 55-million gallons of sustainable aviation fuel each year.

But, the company says it won’t build in South Dakota without the carbon capture pipelines.
