PIERRE, S.D.(WNAX)- South Dakota state employees start sign up for their 2021 insurance options next week and changes in costs and coverage have been made since last year.
Eric Olilla, Executive Director of the South Dakota State Employees Organization, says there hasn’t been a lot of information given to state workers.
Olilla says there is worry that prescription drug coverage may be cut back.
Olilla says the state attracted workers in the past with moderate pay, but good benefits and retirement. He says those three legs are getting weak.
The state plan will have four levels of coverage called: Washington, Jefferson, Lincoln and Roosevelt.
