ABERDEEN, S.D. — Trevor Rick and Jalen Dwire, both of Sioux Falls, carded even-par 72s to share the boys lead after the opening round of the SDGA Sanford International Series at Moccasin Creek Country Club on Tuesday.
Henry Schmitz of Sioux Falls is third at 2-over 74, while Brandon’s Max Vincelli sits fourth at 75. Andrew Heinze of Brookings, Asher Dannenbring of Mitchell and Tyson Lunn of Brookings are tied for fifth at 76.
In the girls division, Gabi Olson of Watertown leads after an even-par 72, one stroke ahead of Brynn Roehrich of Watertown at 73. Kaitlin Strain of Rapid City, Olivia Braun of Aberdeen and Vanessa Smith of Brandon are tied for third after opening-round 74s. Round 2 is at Lee Park & first tee time is at 8AM.
