SDSU looking to expand curriculem for their nursing program

BROOKINGS, S.D.(WNAX)- Attracting and training nurses was the goal of an expansion program funded by the South Dakota legislature.

Christina Plemmons, associate academic dean for the South Dakota State University College of Nursing, says they now have room for more students.

Plemmons says they have a number of options available for students.

Plemmons says they are able to start two terms each year.

Plemmons says the need for nurses is critical as many in the profession are reaching retirement age.
