WEBSTER, S.D. (Press Release) – The Day County Sheriff’s Office has suspended the search for the missing person, Richard “Butch” Carpenter in the Waubay/Bitter Lake area. The Day County Sheriff’s Office is pursuing other leads at this time. We are requesting that the public continue to be alert at this time for either Richard Carpenter or a 2001 Chevy Diesel Crew Cab, Maroon in color bearing the license plate 5A5359.
