FORT PIERRE, S.D. (KCCR) – The Fort Pierre City Council has filled the Ward III Council seat being vacated by Mike Weisgram. Fort Pierre Mayor Gloria Hanson made the announcement.

She says Seiler has a wealth of experience with the city including prior time on the Council.

The appointment of Seiler to the Fort Pierre City Council is effective starting Jan. 1 of 2021. Seiler’s term will be short. He will have to take out petitions to retain that Council spot to finish out Weisgram’s term with an election in April, then file again in 2022 if he wants to serve a full two year term.
