PIERRE, S.D.(WNAX)- The South Dakota Senate approved a compromise bill (SB24) that would limit the number of marijuana plants that could be grown by someone holding a medical marijuana card.
Senator Brian Brietling of Miller was part of the conference committee that came up with the deal.
Senator David Wheeler of Huron was not happy with the changes in the original bill.
Brietling says their responsibility is to the voters and those that need medical marijuana.
The conference committee report was approved by the Senate on a vote of twenty four to eleven.
