PIERRE, S.D.(HubCityRadio)- The South Dakota Senate Commerce and Energy Committee heard testimony Tuesday on SB4. The bill revise procedures for returning and withholding security deposits for residential premises.
Prime sponsor of the bill was District 1 Senator Michael Rohl.
Rohl goes into detail on exactly what the bill does.
Among those to testify in favor include property owner Shawn Storhaug of Brookings.
Eric Nelson with AARP South Dakota talked about their support of this bill.
There was no opposition testimony. The committee passed it on a unanimous vote. The bill now moves on to the South Dakota Senate.
Senator Rohl’s bill(SB5) which require the disclosure of whether a ballot question was proposed by initiative or by the Legislature did pass the South Dakota Senate on a unanimous vote.
