PIERRE, S.D.(HubCityRadio)- The South Dakota Senate Judiciary Committee discuss SB166.  The bill clarify that a digital network is not subject to a cause of action based on the doctrine of product liability.

Prime sponsor of the bill was Senator Carl Perry of Aberdeen.

Speaking in favor of the bill was lobbyist for Uber, Grace Beck.

There was no opposition to the bill and it cleared the committee on a 7-0 vote.  The bill once it reach the Senate floor will be placed on consent calender.
