YANKTON, S.D.(WNAX)- One of two summer studies approved by South Dakota legislators this year will look at long term care.

District 18 Senator Jean Hunhoff of Yankton will Chair that committee and says she wants to look at more than just nursing homes.

Hunhoff says not all small town nursing homes may survive.

Hunhoff says most small towns don’t have the workforce needed to staff long term care facilities.

Hunhoff says she wants to have solid legislation coming out of the committee when it wraps up in the fall.
