Senator John Thune offer advice to Boys Staters

ABERDEEN, S.D.(HubCityRadio)- On Wednesday, U.S. Senator John Thune was at Northern State to talks to Boys Staters.  Before taking questions, he offered some helpful advice to the students there.

Thune discuss how he was first introduced into politics.

Thune would go on to work for former Senator Jim Abdnor for almost five years.

Thune ran for the U.S. House and won in 1996.

He would serve three terms in the House & in 2002 challenged Senator Tim Johnson for that post.

Thune would then run again for the U.S. Senate in 2004 against at the time the U.S. Majority Leader Tom Daschle.

Thune brings these events up to tells the students two key lessons coming from them.

Another advice Senator Thune offered is to live life to the fullest.

Thune was at Boys State back in 1978.
