WASHINGTON, D.C.(WNAX)- Senator John Thune is attempting to make history as the first Senator elected to four terms in the US Senate from South Dakota.

He says he wants to continue what he has started in Washington.

Thune says he has experience that can help the state.

With eighteen years in the Senate, Thune says he knows he has a long record to defend.

Thune faces democrat Brian Bengs and libertarian Tamara Lesner in the November election.
