WASHINGTON, D.C.(WNAX)- The second impeachment trial of former President Trump is set to start Tuesday in the US Senate.

South Dakota Senator Mike Rounds says it appears those prosecuting the case want to push it along.

Rounds says the former President may not have known the impact of his words on the mob that stormed the Capitol on January 6^th.

Rounds says impeachment is the wrong process for holding the former President accountable.

Rounds and other republicans have said impeaching a former President is unconstitutional.
