SIOUX FALLS, S.D.(KELO)- South Dakota Legislators are working to protect our youth from the dangers of Artificial Intelligence.

Former Governor, now Senator Mike Rounds has come alongside the study committee.

Rounds is viewed as a leader on the issue in Washington.

He says South Dakota is in a good position to get a jump on other states.

Rounds says A-I has been around for years, and holds great promise in the area of health care.

Rounds says the state’s universities are developing a reputation of excellence in the field because of their work on A-I.

South Dakota’s reputation is growing brighter in the field of Artificial Intelligence.

Efforts in the state’s universities are the primary reason for that.

Rounds says the end result is a brighter future for the state.

Senator Rounds says A-I is critical to national security, and has the potential to wipe out several forms of cancer and other diseases.
