Senator Rounds address the economic impact with the arrival of the B-21 Bomber

WASHINGTON, D.C.(KOTA)- Developments in Box Elder continue, on and off Ellsworth Air Force Base, for the arrival of the B-21 Bomber and the personnel to operate it.

All told, the B-21 project represents a significant investment in the base and area. South Dakota Senator Mike Rounds said the economic impact goes beyond those in uniform though.

Rounds said taxpayers are getting more from the “nuclear triad” with the B-21 project.

However Rounds said the true impact of the B-21 goes beyond American borders, toward what he described as “near-peer” nations.

Rounds sits on both the Senate Armed Services and Foreign Relations Committees.
