WASHINGTON, D.C.(KCCR)- South Dakota Senator Mike Rounds was one of five America Senators who attended funeral services last weekend for Pope Francis. Rounds says he was asked Thursday if he could flyout Friday.
Rounds says it was a quick trip over a long distance.
Rounds says he was astounded by the reverence everyone had for Francis.
Pope Francis was 88 years old. A Conclave to select a replacement is set to begin May 7th.
