WASHINGTON, D.C.(KELO)- Tik Tok users aren’t happy with members of the U-S House.
The House voted to ban the social media app this week because it’s owned by a Chinese company with links to the Chinese government.
Senator Mike Rounds says the company’s actions in the House vote show why we should be concerned about the app.
Rounds says the Chinese government is demonstrating its willingness to use the app to influence U-S public opinion and actions.
That’s why members of the U-S House voted to ban Tik Tok this week.
Senator Mike Rounds says the Senate may follow the House action.
Influencing American opinion on China’s actions is a big threat.
Rounds says the app can also be used to influence the outcome of elections, making it an even greater threat.
