WASHINGTON, D.C.(HubCityRadio)- On Saturday, The U.S. Congress passed a continuing resolution to fund the government for 45 days. Among those that supported this CR was Senator Mike Rounds.
The resolution provided no funding for either the Southern Border or for Ukraine. Senator Rounds comments on this.
Rounds explains his support of this CR.
Members of the U.S. House, especially Republicans were commenting on how some appropriation bills had clear their chamber, but the Senate had not passed any. Senator Rounds talks about why this was the case.
A number of key legislations still needs to clear Congress such as the next Farm Bill, NDAA, among others. Rounds said it all begins with getting the government funded.
Congress needs to have the government funded by November 17th to avert a potential government shutdown.
