Senator Rounds discuss the future of Republican leadership in the U.S. Senate

WASHINGTON, D.C.(HubCityRadio)- Last week Senate Minority Leader Mitch McConnell of Kentucky announced that he will be stepping down in a leadership role of the Republicans in the U.S. Senate following the 2024 elections.

Senator Mike Rounds appeared on ABC’s “This Week” to talk about the future of the Republican Party in the Senate.

Rounds believe leadership of the Republican Party in the Senate will continue to remain strong after Senator McConnell steps down.

Rounds acknowledge that former President Donald Trump may play a role in determining  the next leader of the Republcians in the Senate.

Rounds talks about his endorsement of Senator John Thune as becoming the next leader of Republicans in the U.S. Senate.

Senator Thune earlier this year has endorsed Donald Trump as the next President of the United States.
