Senator Rounds introduce bill to address”Waters of the United States”

WASHINGTON, D.C.(KELO)- It’s another case of “here we go again” in the dispute over land and water control.

Senator Mike Rounds has introduced a bill to roll back an effort by the Biden Administration to regulate what’s called “Waters of the United States.”

The same disputes broke out over similar moves by the Obama Administration.

The Biden Administration just lost a case in the U-S Supreme Court over “Waters Of The United States” rules.

Senator Mike Rounds has introduced a bill to reverse those new rules…and the heavy-handed control they place on landowners.

Left unchecked, Rounds says the new rules could impact 90-percent of the land in South Dakota.

Rounds says the rules would have a horrible impact on landowners across the U-S…including county governments.

In their current form, Rounds says the rules would impact up to 90-percent of the land in South Dakota.
