Senator Round’s take on Israel’s missile defense system

WASHINGTON D.C.(KOTA)- When the Israeli Government makes an emergency request of $1 billion to replenish their “Iron Dome” missile defense system, it’s a call South Dakota Senator Mike Rounds says shouldn’t go ignored.

Rounds, who sits on the Senate Armed Services and Foreign Relations Committees, said a billion dollar price tag is worth protecting a key regional ally.

Rounds said to support Israeli defense is support stability in a volatile region.

The bipartisan effort is supported by Republican Senators Marco Rubio (Fla.) and Susan Collins (Maine), and Democratic Senators Kirsten Gillibrand (N.Y.), Joe Manchin (W.Va.), and Jacky Rosen (Nev.)
