PIERRE, S.D.(HubCityRadio)- On Sunday’s Meet the Press show, Senator Mike Rounds discussed his support of the Fiscal Responsibility Act which was passed last week by the U.S. Congress.

Senator Rounds was one of seventeen Republicans who supported the bill.  One big reason why some Republicans were opposed was the issue of defense spending.

Rounds talks about the role the Speaker of House Kevin McCarthy played in the negotiations for this bill.

Rounds would like to see in the future ways to improve the process of creating the budget going forward.

President Biden signed the Fiscal Responsibility Act into law on Saturday.
