Senator Rounds talks more about VA in South Dakota

WASHINTON, D.C.(KOTA)- With a lot still uncertain regarding the future of some veterans’ hospitals in the Black Hills, the larger Veterans Affairs Department remains somewhat controversial.

South Dakota Senator Mike Rounds, a Republican who sits on the Senate Armed Services Committee, took an opportunity to describe what the ideal VA for him would be.

Rounds says there could be clearer focus for veteran-specific healthcare.

It’s not just about what the VA can do, but also where.

In the Black Hills, clinics in Sturgis and Hot Springs are in imminent risk of being closed. South Dakota’s congressional delegation have vowed to fight to keep the facilities open.
