Senator Rounds to oppose Kentanji Brown Jackson to the U.S. Supreme Court

WASHINGTON, D.C.(KOTA)- It now appears, with some bipartisan support Judge Ketanji Brown Jackson appears to have an inside lane to the Supreme Court.

South Dakota’s Senate delegation, John Thune and Mike Rounds, have both announced they will not be supporting Brown Jackson’s nomination.

Rounds said he believes Brown Jackson would legislate from the bench.

Rounds addressed his Republican colleagues crossing the aisle to support the nomination.

Rounds pushed back against the charge the Supreme Court is becoming politicized.

Brown Jackson has served as a federal judge on the US Court of Appeals for DC since 2021, and served in US District Court in DC since 2013.
