WASHINGTON, D.C.(HubCityRadio)- Republicans in Congress are pushing to include border security as part of the National Security Supplemental Plan. Senator John Thune went on the floor of the U.S. Senate Tuesday to address including border security in that plan.
Senator Thune commented on Ukrainian President coming to the U.S. to push for more aid from the U.S.
Thune talks about not passing the bill is because of Democrats unwilling to negotiate about what to do with the Southern Border.
Thune discuss about another record set at the Southern Border.
Thune acknowledge that the role to protect the border and offer aid to foreign countries has to go through Congress.
Thune believe the next step now goes to President Biden adminstration and Democrats in Congress.
Negotiations on this bill expected to continue in 2024.
