WATERTOWN, S.D.(KXLG)- Senator John Thune gvve some updates on his recent press releases.

First Senator Thune discuss the recently signed E-15 request from Gov. Noem and other Midwest Governors to sell E-15 all year long instead of just this summer.

Referencing the interview KXLG had with Jim Seurer, CEO of Glacial Lakes Energy, he said if the Nation would agree to E-15 as a standard instead of E-10 it would produce an additional 7 billion barrels a year for the ethanol industry.

One press release Senator Thune released was about ending the extensions for student loans and how much of a burden that is on taxpayers.

Thune goes on to explain that this does not negate the ability for this with financial stress to still seek financial assistance.
