WASHINGTON, D.C.(WNAX)- Congress gave final passage to a one point five trillion dollar spending plan that includes over ten billion dollars in aid for Ukraine.

Before the vote, South Dakota Senator John Thune made a floor speech.

Thune says Congress and the American people have to stand by Ukraine.

Thune says the US has to move away from all energy imports.

Thune also called for Russia to be suspended from normal trade relations with the US and to be kicked out of the WTO.
